In the latter, the poet Rainer Maria Rilke spent many months here between the years 1912-1922 and wrote the ten Duino Elegies. Inside the hotel Falisia Resort & Spa is the lounge bar "La Piazzetta" – a perfect location along the Adriatic coast for an exclusive cocktail, aperitif or snack. Highly recommended is the "Special Club Sandwich".

In addition, there are eight other restaurants throughout the resort such as the gourmet restaurant "Bris" which is the perfect place for a food and wine tour through typical regional cuisine and Central European reinterpretations. For an evening with friends and family, the pizzeria "L'Oro di Napoli" is the perfect place. Pure natural ingredients are combined here with the Neapolitan pizza tradition. Here are used flours from antique meal production together with the Mozzarella D.O.C. and fresh local ingredients and these give the Neapolitan pizza, which is baked in a wood oven, its authentic taste. “Maxi's” offers traditionally prepared seafood specialities, a selection of first-rate meat dishes, vegetarian dishes and a selection of high-quality wines.

Spa & Wellness

The Falisia Resort & Spa has created an oasis of wellness and natural beauty with the Portopiccolo SPA by Bakel. The 3,600-square-meter spa, just 100 meters from the sea, has three levels. The design and furnishings are inspired by the sea and the karst stone that comes from the quarry that give rise to Portopiccolo. Through large glass windows guests look out to the Adriatic Sea while they recharge their batteries in the spa and fitness area. SPA by Bakel offers a wide range of treatments that originate from the Friuli region. Thus, the applications carry typical and characteristics for the area names such as Bora (wind), Miramare (sea view), Falesia (cliff) or Sommac (karst plant). Facials, scrubs, massages and full body treatments are offered. Portopiccolo is the only spa in the world to collaborate with the Italian spa brand Bakel. Raffaella Gregoris was developed. Bakel's products are based exclusively on active and natural ingredients that have been scientifically tested through constant collaboration with universities, dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons. Both, Portopiccolo and Bakel, stand for uncompromising quality. The spa area includes a relaxation room, indoor and outdoor pool with sea view, hammam, bio sauna, Kneipp pool, ice fountain and the Cocoon Bar.

From the bar, guests look directly onto the Adriatic Sea and enjoy vegan, vegetarian and, if desired, lactose-free dishes. Guests experience wellness with a 180 degrees view in the Panoramic SPA Suite. A floating pool, a glass-walled sauna with sea view, a solarium and treatment rooms for couples are ideal for families and couples in love. The Private SPA offers guests maximum privacy. The area has a steam bath, Kneipp pool, whirlpool, sauna, experience showers and a relaxation area upon request. Guests can also rent the Private SPA exclusively for special occasions such as a wedding or engagement. The area of Portopiccolo extends over an area of 35 hectares from the harbour promenade up to the hill that surrounds the bay. The offer of the residential complexes counts up to 460 residential units with an average purchase price of 6,500.00 euros per square meter. Different accommodation units are offered, from the studio apartment to the villa with a size between 50 and 400 square meters. Each of the properties is energy-certified in Classes A and A + and has a geothermal system for heating and air conditioning, noise and heat insulation and emission-saving doors and windows.
