Situated on the shores of Lake Geneva in the midst of magnificent nature, the Beau-Rivage Palace is just a few steps from the center of Lausanne. Like the International Olympic Committee, the Beau-Rivage Palace is a true institution of the Ouchy district and lives from the Mediterranean flair of the port area, which is only 10 minutes away from the vibrant city center. The four hectare park and the magnificent hotel terrace invite you to relax. The Beau-Rivage Palace is conveniently located just 40 minutes from Geneva International Airport and 2 hours from Zurich Airport. It has a garage with 140 parking spaces and charging stations for electric vehicles. It also offers its guests a limousine service.
Rooms & Suites
Those who wish to stay within the historic walls of this luxury hotel are spoilt for choice: 168 stylishly furnished rooms with a picturesque view of Lake Geneva or the paradisiacal garden, including 26 junior suites and 8 suites, make the Beau-Rivage Palace one of the most beautiful palace hotels in the world. In 2014, the rooms were largely redesigned under the direction of French star designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. Each of the Signature Suites has its own special feature. For example, the Suite Impériale has an 80 m² terrace with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva. The Lavaux Suite is enthroned at the Eastern end of the Beau-Rivage Palace and has the hotel's only roof terrace with its own entrance. The 85 m² Spa Suite is specially designed for wellness stays and consists of a living area, a bedroom and an extremely spacious bathroom with a separate wellness area including a hammam. All 168 rooms are individually decorated and equipped with the latest technology.
Spa & Wellness
The brand new 1'500 m2 Spa Cinq Mondes, inaugurated in June 2020, is also exclusive and unique in Switzerland, making the 5-star hotel a true oasis of relaxation. Cinq Mondes combines a wide range of quality, authenticity and exquisite service inspired by great wellness traditions from around the world. Jean-Louis Poiroux, the founder of Cinq Mondes, travelled the globe for more than ten years to gather the best treatments and massages. In addition to fragrant baths, Balinese or Taoist massages and other exotic treatments, the spa includes nine treatment cabins, a relaxation room, heat and water experience areas as well as aqua-sensory areas, a gym, a yoga studio, two heated pools and the summer restaurant Ô Terrasse - all nestled in lush greenery overlooking the lake. In the eyes of General Director Nathalie Seiler-Hayez, the new spa in the lavish Cinq Mondes design, with its discreet, warm and authentic welcome, is a source of general well-being. The project as such was entrusted to architect Alexandre Pierart (Suprem Architectures), whose aim was to create a voyage of discovery of physical sensations and visual emotions. The new Cinq Mondes Spa at the Beau-Rivage Palace is the first step towards the "Wellness Experience", the business philosophy created by Nathalie Seiler-Hayez, which will be extended to the entire hotel by spring 2021.
The Beau-Rivage Palace is the ideal starting point to discover Lausanne and its surroundings. Guests can visit the numerous museums, such as the Olympic Museum, to which there is even a private entrance from the hotel garden. Water sports, e-bike or wine tasting in the vineyards of Lavaux are also possible. As well as exciting hiking tours in the nearby mountains. Especially recommended is the dinner cruise on the steamer "Le Montreux": in the middle of Lake Geneva, the chefs of the Beau Rivage will spoil you with a generous buffet in a historical ambience.
Another tip: Beau-Rivage Palace is part of the Grand Tour of Switzerland devised by the Swiss tourism association. On the Grand Tour of Switzerland, the journey is its own reward. This route will lead you 1000 miles through four language regions, over five Alpine passes, to eleven UNESCO World Heritage Sites as well as two biospheres and along 22 lakes. This tour provides a concentrated insight into Switzerland, with exquisite scenic views and cultural jewels.
Meetings & Events
From exclusive board meetings to high-tech conferences and impressive gala dinners, the hotel offers a flexible range of 12 venues with state-of-the-art technical equipment, high ceilings and hospitality areas for up to 600 people. All are air-conditioned and have natural daylight.
The space at the heart of the hotel and its gardens, “La Terrasse” is an ideal setting for your event. Totally transparent, it overhangs the lake and opens up onto the Rotonde room, a listed building and entirely restored. Independent and complementary, both rooms are perfect for organising a reception and a dinner.
